Stand Out

A movie about lizards. Finally! How could I not like this? Rango, featuring Johnny Depp, Abigail Breslin, Bill Nighy, Alfred Molina, and Isla Fisher. Due out March 4, 2011 in the US (and April 21 in Hong Kong).

Really random teaser from earlier this month.

Vuvuzela Buzz

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (HP7) official trailer is finally out. First installment comes out November 2010 (followed by the second part release July 2011). I'm slightly sad to see this franchise coming to an end, but it should be a fun show, if not darker. (Although, as you may have guessed, I am slightly concerned it's coming out in 3D - hopefully for the better.)

The vuvuzela storm continues.

This Yahoo! article on the Nike Write the Future ad "curse" made me laugh. A similar thought also ran through my head after watching Rooney (and England) play against Germany. We'll see how Cristiano Ronaldo and Team Portugal hold up tonight (against Spain). [Sidenote: Good effort by Japan tonight!]

All Over the World

YouTube added this little futbol/World Cup icon to some of its video players. I laughed when I discovered that clicking it gives a constant vuvuzela droning sound throughout the video. Try it out!

Great game by Germany against England tonight. 4-1. Some beautiful goals and fantastic teamwork by Germany (and goal keeping by Neuer). England continued its streak of playing so-so this World Cup (although I will say they were robbed of one goal). On to the quarterfinals! The best part of the game was knowing that friends all over the world were watching it together at the same time.

Improvise on Short Notice

Bleurgh. Sick. As in, still sick (not a new sickness). So this post will be truncated.

Props to Jimmy Kimmel (who I am a fan of (beside the fact that he is a fellow LOST fanatic)) for doing an entire show via laptop webcam when they had some power outage problems.
Here he is interviewing Seth Rogen:
