Mavis Beacon, Anyone?

Random cute of the week: The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog - literally. Cute foundling fox and his/her foster mom dog. [Source: J~]

Movie Stinger gives a good rundown of whether the movie you're catching has fun credits or an extra scene at the very end.

Very cool drum cover of Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck Without You by Cobus Potgieter. He also does a great version of Hillsong's Take It All. Love how people can worship in so many ways.

Crazy collection of Ultraman (Japanese TV show hero and possibly Power Ranger predecessor) together in one place. [Source: Tip Yang Berguna]

Movies and Slow Movers

Teaser trailer for Tron. Killer special effects. Movie comes out next year.

Escargot that I mentioned earlier this month. It was quite yummy (surprisingly). Thanks C~ for your great camera!
I wish (500) Days of Summer would come out here! Up is finally opening this week. Dubbing always takes a month or more. I'm thankful Harry Potter was an international release.
I revisited Titanic's theme song today. It's hard to believe this movie came out twelve years ago. I remember how it was such a hit (with people watching it around six times in the theatres), and then how it quickly became almost taboo to associate with anything to do with the film. People had received such a heavy dose that everyone wanted to be quickly weaned off. I still have a soft spot for Titanic though. It carries with it a lot of memories.

Lookin' Sharp

I mentioned the Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan, about a year ago as being one of the largest aquariums in the world - complete with four whale sharks (world's largest fish). Someone finally put up a vid of the tank, named the Kuroshio Sea. Beautiful! I wish I could see this in person. You may also recognize the soundtrack from before. This was shot with a Canon 5D Mark II camera - the best piece of hardware out there at the moment. Drool.

Dark Side

I'm intrigued by the new reality TV show on ABC, Dating in the Dark. Three males and three females meet in pitch darkness. Viewers of course get to see everything. A test to supposedly see if love is truly blind. The show might be sketchy or cheesy, but The Bachelor and spin-offs have always seemed ridiculous to me, so Dating in the Dark at least gets points for being unique. Check it out here.
The teaser trailer is out for Alice in Wonderland. Hope YT vid doesn't get pulled. I know M~'s really excited for this!

The new Sleeping At Last album Storyboards is out early in digital form. As with their last album, I really enjoy the beautiful cover art by Geoff Benzing. Check out Green Screens at The Album Project or Porcelain on their MySpace page.
